BAR FOUNDATION ENDOWMENT FUND INITIATED
The WV Bar Foundation’s Board of Directors has set up an Endowment Fund to enhance its mission to improve the administration of justice and the provision of legal services to the citizens of the state. During its quarterly meeting on September 6, the Board approved the Fund in the initial amount of $500,000.
Pictured above is Secretary/Treasurer Steve White (Charleston) as he signs the check to implement the Endowment Fund. A Board committee consisting of Ancil Ramey (Charleston), Jodie Boylen (Parkersburg) and Secretary/Treasurer White will recommend policies for the operation of the Fund.
Also during the Board meeting, which was presided over by President Tracey Weber (Weston), there was discussion and then actions taken on the financial report, the Lunch and Laughs event, a joint ABA/WV Bar Foundation Fellows mentoring program and the ALPS Lawyer Leadership Institute.
