Eleventh Annual Lawyer Leadership Institute

The 11th Bar Foundation Lawyer Leadership Institute held on May 19-21 at Stonewall Resort was a “great experience”, as stated by one of the twelve diverse younger lawyers from all parts of the state and all types of law practice in attendance!

Pictured above on the left is U.S. District Court Judge John Bailey making his highly rated presentation on “Professionalism Leadership” to the group. On the right is a picture taken during the Leadership in Lawyer Well-Being presentation, with Chief Justice Beth Walker and Karen Kahle presenting. Special guests included in this picture are WVBF Board Member Ann Haight, WVJLAP Clinical Director Stephanne Thornton, and Michele Grinberg, WVBF 2020 Fellow.

The Institute’s Sponsor again this year was Antero Resources with its Regional Senior Vice President Kevin Ellis teaming with Lauren Turner to provide their perspective as lawyers here in West Virginia regarding “Leadership Traits”.

The Institute’s objective is to provide newer lawyers with specific education and professional training that will enable them to become leaders in the legal profession, in their communities and in the State.
