BAR FOUNDATION GRANTS $5,000 TO THE WV COURTS LEARNING CENTER

The WV Bar Foundation Board of Directors unanimously voted to approve a $5,000 grant to the WV Courts Judicial Learning Center for the 2021-2022 fiscal year. This judicial learning center will be an innovative and interactive environment for school-aged children and other visitors to learn about their rights and responsibilities under West Virginia law and the role of the judiciary as a branch of state government. It will promote education about important legal concepts, careers within the judicial branch, and a basic introduction into the structure of the state court system. The learning center will be housed on the third floor of the East Wing of the Capitol and is scheduled to be open to the public in 2023.
