‌ THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS TAKES ACTION   The governing body of The West Virginia Bar Foundation is its Board of Directors. Every quarter the Board holds a full meeting to discuss and decide on pending issues.   On December 2, 2021, under the direction of our President Christy Morris, the Board reviewed many aspects of the Foundation’s financial status. Derek Godwin of Herman & Cormany first presented the yearly Audit Report which, as he reported, had met accepted auditing standards. After its Executive Session, the Board voted to accept the report of the Auditor.   Gerry Stowers then gave the report of the Justice Fund Committee. Based on the Board’s vote, decisions were made regarding the Foundation’s Merrill-Lynch stock/bond allocation and cash account.   David Morrison offered the report of the Foundation Fellows Nominating Committee, which had vetted the suggested names and then offered nominations for the Class of 2022. That report was accepted by the Board. Once the inductees have been notified, those names will be released.   Lucien Lewin, our Treasurer, gave the Financial Report, which was accepted by the Board by unanimous vote.   President Morris announced that she is appointing Teresa McCune to an unfulfilled term on the Board, which then voted to welcome Teresa wholeheartedly into its ranks.     UPCOMING FOUNDATION DATES   Next Board Meeting – March 3, 2022 Fellows Banquet – April 21, 2022 Lawyers Leadership Institute – May 20-22, 2022 Lunch & Laughs with a Legal Legend – September 9, 2022                                                 ‌
