LAWYER LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE
The WV Bar Foundation Board of Directors is pleased to announce the 9th Lawyer Leadership Institute at Stonewall Resort on May 21-23, has reached its small group capacity of twelve lawyers, who are from all parts of the state and all types of law practice.   This year’s Institute is again sponsored by Antero Resources Corporation.   The Institute’s objective is to provide newer lawyers (admitted to practice for ten years or less) with specific education and professional training that will enable them to become leaders in the legal profession, in their communities and in the State.   The featured judges and lawyers have well known expertise and knowledge in leadership skills. The speakers and their topics are:   Professionalism Leadership-U.S. District Court Judge John Bailey-Wheeling Interpersonal Leadership-U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael Aloi-Clarksburg Public Service Leadership-WV Circuit Court Judge Alan Moats-Grafton Practice Better. Lead Better. Feel Better.-Brenda Waugh, Esq.-Martinsburg and Elliot Hicks, Esq.-Charleston Wellbeing Leadership-Karen Kahle, Esq.-Wheeling Leadership Traits-Hank Lawrence, Esq.-Bridgeport Ethical Leadership-Rebecca Tinder, Esq.-Charleston   The entire program has been approved for twelve mandatory continuing legal education credits here in West Virginia with four credits of those twelve credits in the areas of legal ethics and lawyer wellbeing.    
BAR FOUNDATION BOARD MEETING/ANNUAL MEETING
The WV Bar Foundation Board of Directors will hold its quarterly meeting on Thursday, June 3, 2021, beginning at 12:00 Noon.   The agenda for the meeting includes the financial report, Committee reports, the Justice Fund report and planning for the new fiscal year, including election of Officers and administrative support. Immediately following the conclusion of the Board meeting, the Annual Meeting will commence with the election of Board members and a review of the past year’s programs and activities.    
W. TRACEY WEBER, JR.
The WV Bar Foundation expresses its most sincere condolences and utmost sympathy on the passing of well known and highly respected lawyer, W. Tracey Weber, Jr., on April 22, 2021.   Tracey was an important leader for the Bar Foundation, serving for six years as a Board member, during which time he provided his superb wisdom and guidance as an Officer, including a term as President. He was a Bar Foundation Fellow.   Tracey and his wife of nearly sixty years, Gayle, were always in attendance at Bar Foundation events during his tenure as a Bar Foundation leader.
