The West Virginia Bar Foundation and its fifteen member Board of Directors hopes that your family, your friends, your colleagues and you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday last week.
We wish to express our sincere gratitude and thanks to you—each of you receiving this Bar Brief has provided your personal support and assistance which has enabled the Bar Foundation to pursue its mission of improving the administration of justice and the provision of legal services to our citizens.
Thanks to you, child abuse and neglect prevention programs have been strengthened in Berkeley, Harrison, Jefferson, Logan, Mercer, Mingo, Monongalia, Morgan and Wood counties, civic education for students has been improved in Clay, Fayette, Kanawha, Mineral and Ohio counties and for men, women and children across the state, anti-bullying programs have been instituted for students in north central West Virginia and future lawyers and leaders have been assisted during their college and law school years.
These endeavors are just some of what the Bar Foundation has accomplished because of your valuable support and assistance.
So, Thank You again for all that you do!!
Tuesday, December 1, 2015, is the nationally and globally recognized day of philanthropy called Giving Tuesday.
After Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday is an opportunity for Americans to give back to their favorite deserving charitable activity. After purchasing gifts for family and friends on the days immediately after Thanksgiving, this one day is set aside as special recognition to give to those in need.
The focus is to have donations made electronically through secure methods. Tax deductible donations to the WV Bar Foundation can be accomplished quickly, safely and easily by going to the Bar Foundation’s website—
and clicking on the Donate Now red button on the right side of the homepage.
Please support the Bar Foundation’s Grants Program by making your personal contributions on December 1, Giving Tuesday!
