| BIG CROWD- LUNCH&LAUGHS JUDGE KEELEY SEPT. 13-11:30AM MORGANTOWN BIG CROWD/SPONSORS-JUDGE KEELEY-LUNCH AND LAUGHS A big crowd of more than 170 people are registered to attend the third Lunch and Laughs with a Legal Legend event, which will be held on Friday, September 13, 2013, at the Erickson Alumni Center in Morgantown. U. S. District Court Judge Irene M. Keeley of Clarksburg will be the honored guest for this “friendly roast” that will begin at 11:30 AM and conclude by 1:00 PM. WVU College of Law Professor Emeritus Jack Bowman will be serving as the Master of Ceremonies. The “roasters”, who will tell humorous stories about Judge Keeley, are U. S. District Court Chief Judge John P. Bailey (Wheeling), entrepreneur Pat Bibbee (Charleston) and attorney Robert M. Steptoe, Jr. (Bridgeport). The following distinguished entities have agreed to serve as Sponsors for this excellent endeavor-Jackson Kelly, Kay, Casto and Chaney, McNeer, Highland, McMunn and Varner, Phillips Gardill, Kaiser and Altmeyer, Spilman, Thomas and Battle, Steptoe and Johnson, Tenmile Land, White Law Offices, the WV Bar Foundation, and the WVU President’s Office. More attorneys from various parts of the state are renewing their annual memberships or becoming new members of the Bar Foundation for the July, 2013-June, 2014 fiscal year. The annual membership fee is $50 with the Lifetime membership fee being $500. (Bar Foundation Fellows are automatically Lifetime members.) Thomas McIntire from Wheeling has become a Lifetime Member of the Bar Foundation and Eugene Pecora from Beckley has joined as a regular member. BAR FOUNDATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING The quarterly meeting of the Bar Foundation’s Board of Directors will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at the law offices of Flaherty Sensabaugh Bonasso in Charleston, beginning at 12:00 Noon. The diverse Board, consisting of fifteen judges and lawyers from around the state and from different types of law practice, will consider policy decisions on finances, grants, investments, programs and activities, in accordance with the organization’s strategic planning process.
