CONGRATULATIONS TO WV BAR FOUNDATION
PUBLIC SERVICE LAW SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT
ARYANNA ISLAM
The West Virginia Bar Foundation provides a full tuition scholarship, the Justice Larry V. Starcher Public Service Scholarship, to a WVU College of Law student interested in pursuing a career in public service.
This year’s recipient is Aryanna Islam, from Fairmont, WV.
From Aryanna:
“I am a 2L at the College of Law. When I applied to law school, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in Public Interest Law and Public Service. Before law school, I worked both in Congress and at the West Virginia State Legislature and was involved in various community organizations. This past summer, I was excited to be a Public Interest Advocates fellow at Mountain State Justice. I intend to continue the same path when I graduate with my law degree by working in public interest law and West Virginia state politics.
I very much appreciate being awarded this scholarship because it has afforded me many great opportunities so far during my time in law school. And it has been a major help financially since I will have no tuition to pay off. Because of that, I will be able to comfortably live while pursuing public interest law in the state, helping underserved populations.”
Congratulations, Aryanna, and we look forward to hearing about your experiences at the WV Bar Foundation Fellows Dinner in April.
