CHILD ADVOCACY GRANT
The Bar Foundation Board of Directors, a diverse group of fifteen judges and lawyers, has awarded a grant to the Logan County Child Advocacy Center to provide forensic interviews for child abuse and neglect victims.
Pictured above at the Center’s office in Logan are its Executive Director, Beth Cook, and the Bar Foundation’s President, Harry “Burr” Hatfield of Madison.
The grant will be utilized by the Child Advocacy Center in improving its important services to children in Logan County and for its enhanced new program for victims in Mingo County.
This grant is another example of the Bar Foundation’s commitment to improving the administration of justice and the provision of legal services to citizens in West Virginia.

 

END OF YEAR CONTRIBUTIONS

GRANT APPLICATIONS DEADLINE
The Bar Foundation’s Board of Directors will consider grant applications during its quarterly meeting on March 6. Completed grant applications must be received by FEBRUARY 1, 2014, in order to be reviewed by the Grants Committee prior to the Board meeting.
The grant application is available on the Bar Foundation’s new website—wvbarfound.org—–under Grants on the toolbar at the top of the homepage.
