BAR FOUNDATION WRAPS UP ITS THIRTY-FOURTH YEAR

The WV Bar Foundation closed its thirty-fourth June 30 fiscal year and is entering its thirty-fifth year of grantmaking to further promote the administration of justice.

As of June 30, 2022, Bar Foundation grants totaling more than $538,500 have been awarded through 85 separate grants. An additional sum of $89,084 has been provided through 10 grants from the net proceeds of the Lunch and Laughs With A Legal Legend events, for a grand total of more than $627,000.

Just a few of these worthwhile grants include a funding for the WVU College of Law Public Service Scholarship, WV Judicial & Lawyer Assistance Program, Mountain State Justice Clifford-Cleckley Fellowship, Restorative Justice Program, and the WV Supreme Court Learning Center.

Our major programs throughout the year include the Bar Foundation Fellows Program, Lawyer Leadership Institute, and Lunch & Laughs with a Legal Legend.
