BAR FOUUNDATION BUILDINGS-
At the direction of the WV Supreme Court, the Bar Foundation, the State Bar and the Lawyer Disciplinary Board/Office of Lawyer Disciplinary Counsel presented proposals regarding office space and buildings to the Court on July 1. The options included moving the LDB/ODC offices from their current location at 2008 Kanawha Blvd., East in Charleston, upgrading and remaining in that building, selling the building or gifting the facility at 2006 Kanawha Blvd., East, or placing a new facility at that location. The Court has informed the LDB/ODC that it will move into joint office space in the Charleston area with the Board of Law Examiners and the Judicial Investigation Commission. In addition, the Bar Foundation and the State Bar are planning to have negotiation sessions on building plans for the future.
