As has been reported previously, the Bar Foundation Board of Directors has placed for sale the two buildings located at 2006 and 2008 Kanawha Blvd., East in Charleston. The 2006 facility, occupied by the WV State Bar until December 31, 2011, is under contract at the present time.
Pictured above is the 2008 proerty which consists of approximately 3,900 square feet, a full finished basement, 10-12 parking spaces and a 505 square foot garage apartment.
The price for the 2008 facility has been REDUCED to $435,000!

BAR FOUNDATION FELLOWS DINNER-APRIL 26, 2012
The Bar Foundation Board of Directors has selected the members of the 2012 class of Bar Foundation Fellows. This year’s group of sixteen lawyers and three members of the judiciary joins 223 lawyers and 32 judges, who have been previously selected as Bar Foundation Fellows.
The Annual Reception and Dinner to honor the 2012 class will be held on Thursday, April 26, at the Marriott Hotel in Charleston. The well attended event (black tie optional) begins at 6:30PM and the cost is $125 per person or $1,250 for a table of ten persons.

ALPS LAWYER LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE
The first LLI will be held from Friday afternoon, May 18, until Sunday morning, May 20, at the centrally located Stonewall Resort in Roanoke, WV, just off I-79 near Weston. The Institute has been named for the Attorneys Liability Protection Society (ALPS), whose President, Robert Minto, Jr., a Bar Foundation Fellow, has provided outstanding support and assistance for this unique endeavor.
The Institute’s featured judges and lawyers have well known expertise and knowledge in leadership skills. The speakers and their topics are:

West Virginia lawyers, who have been admitted to practice law for ten years or less, are eligible to participate. There will be a maximum of only 20 attendees. The cost is $499 per person, which includes two nights lodging at Stonewall Resort, five meals, and all materials, as well as application will be made for twelve hours of continuing legal education credits, with at least three hours of legal ethics creedits.
