RENEE SULIPEK
In mid-January, a lunch was held in honor of Renee Sulipek, who had served in a number of capacities at the WVU College of Law, most recently as the Administrative Assistant to the Dean. Pictured above at the special event are Renee with current Law School Dean, Greg Bowman, on her left, and retired Law School Dean John Fisher, on her right. After more than 30 years of expertly guiding and assisting law students, law professors, Law School staff, judges and lawyers, Renee has moved to the WVU Office of the Provost, where she will be working with Provost Joyce McConnell, former Dean of the WVU College of Law. Congratulations to Renee for her outstanding career at our Law School and best wishes to her as she continues her important work at West Virginia University!

THANK YOU FROM EMILY NEELY
The WV Bar Foundation Board of Directors has awarded its Public Service Scholarship for numerous years to WVU College of Law students who have a commitment to public service legal work. For this academic year, the Scholarship was divided between two excellent first year law students. It is through your generosity that these scholarships are presented to top quality law students. Here is the thank you note received from one of this year’s awardees, Emily Neely: “It is with deep gratitude that I thank you for awarding me a Public Service Scholarship. Your generous support will enable me to more easily devote my career to serving my community in Berkeley County, and I am of course thrilled to be working toward that goal at West Virginia University College of Law.” ___________________________________________________________
