SUPREME COURT CANDIDATES FORUM
The Bar Foundation’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce the awarding of a grant to the WV Women Attorneys organization for its hosting of a Supreme Court Candidates Forum on Thursday, October 25, at the LaBelle Theater, 311 D Street, in South Charleston. Pictured above, on the left, is Bar Foundation Vice President Ellen Cappellanti presenting the grant award to the President of the WV Women Attorneys, Sandra Kinney.
With a total of twenty candidates seeking election to two seats on the Supreme Court, it is vitally important for lawyers and members of the general public to be educated about the qualifications and the views of the candidates. So far, approximately half of the candidates have formally agreed to participate.
The Forum will last from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with the doors opening at 5:30 PM.
Admission is FREE, but space is limited so you are encouraged to register in advance. To register and to submit possible questions for the candidates, please visit
www.wvwomenattorneys.org
The General Election is Tuesday, November 6.
