LAWYER LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE SPONSOR

Antero Resources, a major leader in West Virginia’s energy industry, has become the Sponsor for the Lawyer Leadership Institute which is recognized as the premier leadership training program for rising lawyer leaders in the state.

Antero Resources has more than 500 employees in the Appalachian Basin with offices in Mount Clare and Bridgeport, WV, and in Marietta, Ohio. It currently holds over 427,000 net acres in the Marcellus Shale area. Antero’s Regional Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer is Al Schopp.

In its first five years of existence, there have been more than fifty younger lawyers, admitted to practice for ten years or less, who have attended the Lawyer Leadership Institute each May at the Stonewall Resort. They have been from all parts of the state and all types of law practice. During the weekend session, they have learned leadership traits and skills from highly qualified judges and lawyers to assist them in their legal profession, community and statewide activities.

J. Kevin Ellis, Antero’s Vice President of Government Relations, stated that “We are very pleased to support the WV Bar Foundation in its 2017 Lawyer Leadership Institute.” Kevin is a distinguished graduate of the WVU College of Law.       The WV Bar Foundation’s Board of Directors expresses its sincere appreciation to Antero Resources for its beneficial commitment to the Lawyer Leadership Institute!
