PRESIDENT ANCIL RAMEY
Ancil G. Ramey (Huntington) has been selected to serve as the President of the WV Bar Foundation for the July, 2015-June, 2016 fiscal year. He is in the private practice of law, after serving admirably as the Clerk of the WV Supreme Court for numerous years, and is a Bar Foundation Fellow.
During the recent Board of Directors meeting, he laid out his plans for the coming year by focusing on various parts of the organization’s strategic plan, including increased money for the Justice Fund for additional Bar Foundation grants, the continuation of the three major events—the Bar Foundation Fellows Dinner, the Lunch and Laughs With a Legal Legend and the Lawyer Leadership Institute—and the provision of the Public Service Scholarship to a deserving student at the WVU College of Law.
In addition, by utilizing his superior technology skills, there will be major upgrades to the Bar Foundation’s valuable website and the administrative automation equipment. These actions will have a positive impact on the Bar Foundation’s fiscal condition and the Board’s fiduciary responsibility.
Congratulations to President Ramey!
