FELLOW HONORARIUM
The WV Bar Foundation and its Board of Directors are pleased to announce that Antero Resources of Bridgeport, WV, has made a generous contribution as an honorarium to recognize Henry “Hank” Lawrence on being named as a WV Bar Foundation Fellow.
Hank, pictured above, joined with fourteen other lawyers and three judges, who are members of the 2014 Fellows class and were celebrated during the Annual Fellows Dinner on April 24 in Charleston.
Mr. Al Schopp, the Chief Administrative Officer and Regional Vice President for Antero, stated that Hank was an extremely valuable member of the team that works with Antero Resources, which is a major participant in the shale gas exploration business that has expanded dramatically in WV and surrounding states.
The Bar Foundation congratulates Hank for providing beneficial legal services for his client and expresses its deep appreciation to Mr. Schopp and Antero Resources for its generous donation that will be used to further the Bar Foundation’s mission of improving the administration of justice in West Virginia.

LAWYER LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE
The Bar Foundation hosted its third annual Lawyer Leadership Institute this past weekend at the Stonewall Resort near Weston.
A diverse group of younger lawyers from various parts of the state participated in interactive sessions, networking opportunities and interpersonal relationship building in an informal atmosphere. A total of 13 hours of continuing legal education credits were provided for the well received seminars.
The speakers included Federal Court Judge Irene Berger, Circuit Court Judge Michael Aloi, WVU Law School Professor Emeritus Jack Bowman and Professor Tom Patrick, Lawyer Disciplinary Board Counsel Renee Frymyer, Jessica Alsop, Norwood Bentley and Elliot Hicks.

BAR FOUNDATION FELLOWS BOARD/ANNUAL MEETING
The Bar Foundation’s Board of Directors, consisting of 15 lawyers and judges from all parts of the state and all types of law practice, will hold its quarterly meeting on June 5, 2014, at 12:00 Noon at the law offices of Flaherty Sensabaugh Bonasso in Charleston.
Immediately following the Board meeting at 1:00 PM, the Bar Foundation’s Annual Meeting will be held. The agenda for the meeting includes the reading of the Minutes of the 2013 Annual Meeting, a report on the programs and activities of the Bar Foundation, the financial report, the Nominating Committee report and Other Business.
The Nominating Committee report will consist of the election of the following persons to serve three year terms as members of the Board of Directors:
