ALPS LAWYER LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE
The first LLI will be held from Friday afternoon, May 18, until Sunday morning, May 20, at the centrally located Stonewall Resort in Roanoke, WV, just off I-79 near Weston. The Institute has been named for the Attorneys Liability Protection Society (ALPS), whose President, Robert Minto, Jr., a Bar Foundation Fellow, has provided outstanding support and assistance for this unique endeavor.
The Institute’s featured judges and lawyers have well known expertise and knowledge in leadership skills. The speakers and their topics are:

Professionalism Leadership-U.S. District Court Judge Irene Berger-Beckley
Interpersonal Leadership-Circuit Court Judge Michael Aloi-Fairmont
Leadership Traits-WVU Law School Professor Jack Bowman-Morgantown

West Virginia lawyers, who have been admitted to practice law for ten years or less, are eligible to participate. There will be a maximum of only 20 attendees. The cost is $499 per person, which includes two nights lodging at Stonewall Resort, five meals, and all materials, as well as application will be made for twelve hours of continuing legal education credits, with at least three hours of legal ethics creedits.
